Help me think Chess is not agonizing

I just started playing Chess a few months ago and recently reached a classic rating of 1560. The problem is that a lot of games are so agonizing since the players will either plays ultra defensive or will take loads of time during the early stages. To combat this I started playing blitz games, but these games are too fast for me and I will tend to make blunders. How do I play classic games against boring players? If I wanted to watch boring games, I'd watch Chelsea play football.
The key is to find the "boring" stuff interesting. positional play is fun to play and watch, just look at some of karpov's games for inspiration. that said, if your bloodthirst is unquenchable, just keep on blowing the position open, and figure out some cool tricks you can pull out of your hat for particular 'ultra defensive' opponents.
Change your openings if you don't like positional play. Play open games, gambits, attacking games. Break the center, try to attack early in the game. If you want it to be interesting, you need to risk a little. But the previous post is also correct, positional game is not boring, at least in my opinion.
Boring play is usually bad play.

Find the way to punish their lack of initiative. Don't blame your opponent for making the game boring. Play so that boring play is not possible.
I agree with the above comment. You're probably getting sucked into the boring classical play yourself. Try to think outside of the box - It's the best way to expand your chess game.
Hi, I agree with the previous comments, the best way to move forward is study up on positonal play and/or try to avoid them in your games if possible. Speaking from experiance, i would not underestimate "defensesive players" because they are ussually waiting for you to blunder and claim victory shortly after. For me personally, I play semi-agressively with white and almost always play Hippopotamus Defence as black(although sometimes transpose to Pterodactyl def). Although, i mainly visit this site for its awesome [hard] chess tactics. When I do start playing in pools, i will deff play with the Hippo. :) Pardon my english. Greetings from Finland.
