- became FM and achieved first IM norm

Teaching experience

I've been coaching since 2016. and had more than 100 student since. Besides coaching I've helped numerous titled players with openings preparation for their games.

Experience of being both on receiving and giving end of coaching helps me to stay on point as to what's important in both coach's and student's perspective respectively.

Teaching methodology

I wish this training process to be a two-way exchange. You pay money and then get value for it so please include as many information as
you can about your chess background, chess goals, coaching expectations etc.
This will help me to see if we're a good fit as I don't want to waste anyone's time nor money.

I ought to guide student and provide materials to study from rather than teach things student can learn on his/her own.
Autonomous study between the lessons is asserted.

There are 4 types of lessons I usually provide:

1) Very general lesson, we go over student's games, student is asked to comment moves and decisions extensively and I try to
correct student's way of thinking. I also share my own insights and experiences related to the topic at hand.

2) Opening study. Here we attempt to learn a new opening through experience of studying the related games and trying it out
in your own games. Everything is commented, I expect student to question everything in the opening. In the end the whole thing is wrapped up with a concise pgn file containing the most important lines and ideas so that student can revise it later.

3) This kind of training if aimed for practitioners of OTB chess. At this stage player already has a stable and reliable opening's repertoire, but lacks results in OTB games. I prepare student for OTB games and we together analyse them afterwards. If I find that student lacks knowledge in some other department we may integrate other type of training as well.

4) Long term involvement with a player up to 2000 elo. As most sub 2000 elo players have severe holes in more than on aspect it doesn't make sense to focus on something particularly, but rather study according to a plan which covers broad range of topics and is adapted as student progresses. This is usually at least 3 months collaboration in which certain goals are defined which depend on player's motivation, available time etc. This kind of training has on average increased student's rating by 95 points in the 6 months span.

Keep in mind that this is a very rough display of what the lessons look like as I had to squeeze it in finite number of points. If you have any questions or uncertainties don't hesitate to contact me.
Lessons are conducted over any VoIP service of student's choice.
