[FEATURE REQUEST] - Hide opponent rating during games

I think this would be a nice feature that doesnt and shouldnt interfere with results.

I find this would help with playing just chess instead of the so called inevitability of result expectation of playing someone much higher or lower rated than yourself.

Its a feature that should be optional, simple toggle on /off
What is wrong with if you see/ know the opponents rating? At least you can mentally prepare yourself -if necessary. If you start a request from your lobby, there you can adjust the opponents strength with your slider. The moment you enter a tournament you will paired up with any rating, no matter what so take it as it is.

Asking for a feature to hide your opponents rating to avoid wet panties makes you not go anywhere. Would you ask to mask your teacher's, coworker's or boss's knowledge to not look inexperienced? Face it, take it and compete. Everything else would just draw the attention that you are trying to avoid.
and what is wrong if its an optional feature, people like yourself would leave it on, people who want it off, toggle it off.

imagine if hiding opponent name/rating was a default optional feature from the beginning and someone proposes to have it manditory to display it, of course you will have detractors.

but you have a choice to turn toggle it off to have the chess playing experience YOU want.

Suppose such a proposed feature is implement, YOU have an option to revert to the original experience.

Your argument for anti choice is not very compelling.

It would be nice to have such feature..
Like whenever I see a high rated player in bullet psychologically I try to play faster which makes me more blunder prone.. So, if i can toggle it off, i could chill out and play i guess
I would also love to see this feature implemented in Lichess (the browser extension solutions don't work across all platforms). For better or for worse, playing against a significantly lower or higher rated player causes changes in my playing style (e.g. my offense-to-defense balance, my decisions on whether or not to maneuver toward fast mates, etc).

Sometimes I _do_ want to see and select for ratings, whether I'm trying out something new on lower-ranked players or intentionally going up against higher-rated players to sharpen my teeth. But other times, I'd prefer to not know until after the game. I'd love to not be constantly reminded that most of the players I encounter in tournaments are a few hundred points above me.
