Chess ratings vs. daily form

Hey people,

I have a question: ELO and GLIKO are supposed to reveal the strength of chess players, but there is one thing that ruins every statistics: The daily form.

I noticed that I play significantly better when:
- I am not tired
- I am not frustrated or angry because of losing previous matches
- I am not drinking alcohol

For this reason I decided to only play when I am in a really good mood for playing, while many other players probably give a shit about that, so my question is:

(1) Is it a form of "cheating" when I stop playing as soon as I start losing games? I play about 5 matches per day and I noticed that my results become significantly worse the more games I have already played.
(2) Can ELO and GLIKO really tell us anything about the true capabilities of a chess players when the daily form is not included in the statistics?
No big deal, just play when you are in the real mood. But be careful: you deprive yourself of your excuses :D

Or put it that way: OF COURSE you can take your wins in the casino and play only when you want to. Go ahead, become rich!
Hi
Glicko rating was introduced to be a more accurate indicator few time ago, your questions are complex and people are many interpretations and answers, players who play at a high level can have abnormalities other than weaker players in my opinion but it is not a principle, about me are no rules:)
my game is beyond every rating
I'd say it is quite the opposite to cheating.
Give a shit and play your own personal marathon (as I like to do sometimes) when you got the spare time equals unintentional sandbagging. :-)
So it is the most honest way if you only play at your peak performance, cause your rating never pretends (for you) you are weaker than you actually are.
At lichess you can request to take back a move this alone makes the ratings no true indicator, also you can play against any level which you cannt in the "real" world, again leaving your rating very suspect, ...
