Favorite Openings

Just below "Favorite opponents" in profile.
What you think?
This could allow preparation against specific players' openings?
It's not like the information is secret - all of the games played on lichess are public for everyone to see. I think it would be an interesting feature, although classifying openings could be hard (how do you deal with different variations or transpositions?)
#1 that is a great idea.

#3 I think it should be just the main opening title.
What about an option then to able 'favourite openings' to be public or private?
makes no sense for me.

I play with black mainly three different openings. Dutch, Scandinavian and old Indian. What is my favorite now? Perhaps the Dutch but that helps me nothing because the most people plays 1.e4 :-(

Other side of the table. I like Colle-Zukertort. But a lot of people play 1...d6 and my favorite is gone.
It will have a lot of sense, as it will be possible to click on the name of the opening and examine games, as well as personal statistics of openings - winning %, rating, time, etc. - to better understand your (or your opponent's) weaknesses and strengthens.
I second this. Although, 'most-played' might be a little more accurate.

One, it does help you prep against opponents, and
two, it allows study of what one plays the most, games they lose certain openings.

This could even be expanded to allow one to sort one's own games by openings (like a personal opening explorer).
This feature MUST HAVE for a respected chess site.
Kapsarov, stop bumping your old topics. Just posting 'please make this' won't get anything done. And look at the source code, some preliminary work is already being done.
