How does your lichess rating translate?

I am curious about how ratings from lichess translate to other websites.

I'm pretty sure an 1800 rated player on lichess is not the same as an 1800 rated player on chess.com.
I'm not sure why, but I think its cause lichess is so much newer and doesn't have as many users yet. I assume as time goes on the variance will level out?

But just to get an idea What is your rating here and your rating on chess.com (or other sites)?

For me I play at about an 1800 level here, but a 1600 level on chess.com. I've noticed at least a 200 point swing.
You got different starting rating and I guess here is some rating inflation because lichess attracts newbies
Ah thats true about the different starting rating, ah yeah thats probably the biggest factor lol :)

Lichess has Glicko-2 rating system.
As far as I know you can state that chess.com blitz-rating is lichess blitz-rating minus ~200.

Best wishes

#5 Christopho You can compare them with some standard deviation. They both measure the same thing.

You are rated higher on lichess than on chess.com because you prefer it, this is the power of love
+200 bullet, +200 classical & + 200 tactics :P lichess tactics are really random though. It's nice to stroke your ego here once in a while :B
