Three check stockfish

Again, rather than create a new thread: When you play Stockfish here on Lichess - Does it have realistic move times or if I play a 15+10 is it basically only a measuring stick for how fast I move and that Stockfish is going to pretty much insta move?

Thanks
Variant-enabled Stockfish source code is available (sorry, I don't know how to compile a Windows .exe) at http://github.com/ddugovic/Stockfish .

Level 8 AI caps Stockfish at 0.5 sec/move at a maximum depth of 14 half-moves. It's (currently) playing without access to books or databases of any sort.
I see. Thanks for the information. This is extremely interesting stuff that you guys have going on with this site. It makes some of the others who are charging people an arm and a leg look pretty silly when they go on and on about how they can't operate their site without charging subscription fees. Next time I get paid I'll donate a few bucks myself. This is a great project.
Toad (or anyone else knowledgeable), any idea why variant stockfish is capped so badly? It's really quite bad even at level 8, and I don't think it's due to bad programming, I think with proper depth, it would be extremely strong and three-check. Possibly unbeatable since three-check is such a tactical variant. It seems weird that the most "computer-like" variant is the easiest to beat stockfish 8 on.
