How about a ADJOURNMENT option?

In order to go to work or answer the door or any number of other things people need to do, create an Adjourn "button" that is NOT optional for the opponent. That's right...hit it and this game is suspended for a period of time and saved as is with no modifications until restarted by either party.
Let's assume :

1st - You adjourn a game and state that you will be back in 5 minutes...

2nd Your opponent waits 10 minutes and you still don't restart the game. So they try to restart the game ... will you lose? Or they deside to leave the game... will they lose?

3rd - Then 20 minutes later, you deside to restart that forgotten game.

My question is: What happens next ?

I feel people will press adjourn in a loosing situation and prevent the other from winning their rated game or simply delaying a winning game. When you join a game, it is normally assumed that you will play it to the end.
This is a terrible idea. 99% of the time it will be abused by time wasters and cheaters.
