Instead of having to send an email-like message to our friends on lichess, wouldn't it be great if we had an instant messaging feature a la gmail or facebook?

I really do like this idea, it would make chatting with friends on here so much easier and funner, would love to see this implemented.
It would be nice if the box at the bottom right also showed "Offline friends". Right now I find it hard to find information (rating, latest games++) about my friends if they are offline.
(also, instant messaging would be a big improvement over the email-like messaging feature as mentioned above!)

@laguun You can go to lichess.org/@/laguun/following to see all your friends. I guess a possible improvement could be a link to this page from the box in the bottom right.
@lego00 Nice, thank you, I did not know that this feature existed. Agree, moving it to the bottom right box would make it even better.
