Opening book in correspondence

Wow, I didn't know about this. I guess I was lucky to have good score in correspondence, probably my opponents were ignorant about the rule too.

Allowed as long as you don't get caught? Try that on on your spouse, "I haven't cheated cause you didn't catch me"

i use a book and databases in CC..... i guess you better block me, if that upsets you..................... i can see where it might be frustrzting to play guys who use books, etc in CC --- but thems the rules, man. maybe just accept it, if you are not interested in playing with a book yourself. one thing you could do is play themed CC. that's where everyone plays the same opening, even up to a variation. they have tournaments like this. just a suggestion. not sure lichess offers this, but chess.com used to. they were pretty fun.
