Add Rapid with Increment to the Quickplay Buttons

I opened a github issue for this, but figured it doesn't hurt to get posted here as well, where people actually discuss things

TL;DR:
- Increment is cool, and 10+0 really doesn't feel like "Rapid"
- Searching manually for smth like 15+10 takes forever, so we need a QuickPlay button for this

My suggestion:
- Add 15+5 as Rapid button (upper edge of 'Rapid', without being too close to Classical)
- Change the default Classical tc from 15+15 to 20+10 (feels more "Classical", is a bit longer, and is already used for the Classical Shield tournament)

Question to the nice users of Lichess:
- Should this new 15+5 button substitute..
A) 5+3, which is the by far least played Blitz TC (and there are 3 other Blitz buttons already)
B) "Custom", which is pretty much entirely pointless (with "Create New Game" next to it doing the exact same thing)

If you like the base idea of Rapid with Increment, but dislike the concrete suggestion (eg would prefer 15+10), please say so & ideally offer some sort of reasoning!

If you'd like to have this, it's probably useful to write a short message of support, so ppl see this has some backing in the community, which may or may not make it more likely to get implemented. Or so I hope. Thanks!

Well, frankly 20+10 is rapid too, because classic is like "Make 40 moves in 2 hours", but I for one would welcome an incremented rapid quick button. If we're talking "lichess classical" and "lichess rapid", I'd be content with something about 10+5. As for the other buttons, I personally don't mind how things are, of blitz I use 5+3 almost exclusively.

Yes obviously 20+10 is technically Rapid to and could be played, but there are those amongst us who like to keep their Classical rating separate, for "real meat" (Lonewolf/4545/TCL Classic/etc) - similar reason as to why Rapid and Classical were split in the first place.

The Classical pool (15+15 currently, perhaps 20+10 in the future) is also kinda terrible for that reason; most high rated classical players don't use quickplay at all, but wouldn't be against playing Rapid with increment.

Add 10 5 and remove Custom. Create new already exists.

I personally have never understood the purpose of the "Custom" button. I feel mostly ambivalent about what exactly should replace it (I play 5+0 the vast majority of the time), but I would definitely understand a move to replace it by something people might actually use.

10+5 or 10+10 would be nice to have,

as for classical, 15+15 is better IMO than 20+10, cause of long endgames, the larger increment helps.

In my opinion 10+0 should be replaced by 10+5 or something similar everywhere on lichess.

The only reason it is currently popular is that people figure (correctly) that it's a simple number so many people want to play that time control. If the button just said "10" instead of "10+0" and actually was 10+5 I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice.

I agree that 10+5 would be better and the games will have better quality and less time flagging.

I second that motion. There have been numerous propositions including changing the layout to 4 x 4. I would rather see one of the many Blitz options go away and keep the 10+0 but yes it is high time for a real rapid quickplay button.

#7 Yeah; in the forums I've repeatedly suggested replacing 10+0 with 10+2, and 5+0 with 5+1. It really would cut down on the salt we see when players time out in won positions.
