Still don't know much about programming, but I would like to express my full support for this variant. If it's one variant I would like to see implemented, it's this one. I enjoyed doing some analysis of my own when I watched Seirawan's video.

I watched the chessbrah demo and think it would be interesting to try.
The studies in the video looked really interesting as well. Perhaps we(the lichess community) can compose our own interesting studies using the hawk and elephant.

Main features for this variation:
- lots of different pieces to choose from, some can have magic abilities; selection is limited with some sort of cost
- initial presetup: you can place any piece on any place of your side of board before the game (may be with line or two of free space in the middle)
There can be lots of additional rules, but overall presetup and customization make much more enjoyable and surprising game than chess are. It's like combining crazyhouse, atomic, horde in one epic game with board presetup
P.S. Warn: Not recommending Kongregate variant for too long, it's badly programmed and in opposite of lichess, noticably made for money donating. On lichess, this variant can became much more native.

I would say a suite like CEO is a bit outside the scope of lichess, but that's a nice share!
#43, the moment I saw the mate with just the hawk, I was in love. The forced mate with the elephant was excellent foreplay.

Is there a way we can bribe the mods and developers of this site with donations to make this happen? lol.
I would be willing to donate 10 or 15 bucks. I guess. If everyone interested was to donate 5 or 10 bucks we could raise up some funds.
